Printing
ClearSCADA provides you with the facility to print a variety of data output. You can configure printing to be done manually or to occur automatically. The following is a list of features with which you can use the print facility:
- Alarms and Events—The alarm and event printer service allows alarms and events to be printed out automatically on a printer that is connected to a server or client PC, (see Alarm and Event Printer Service).
- Data Grids and Data Tables—You can print the properties and the displayed data from Data Grids and Tables.
- Data Sets and Data Set Rows—You can print the properties and the displayed data from Data Sets and Data Set Rows.
- Logic Functions—You can print Function Block Diagrams.
- Mimics—You can print a displayed Mimic.
WYSIWYG Printing setting allows you to control whether print-outs of Mimics include embedded Lists and embedded Alarms Lists, see Enable or Disable WYSIWYG Printing for Mimics.
- Queries Lists—You can print the results of Queries Lists.
- Scripts—You can print scripts and use scripts to control printing functions within Mimics and the Alarm banner, see Using a Script to Access the Print Settings.
- Trends and Historic Trends—You can print Trend and Historical Trend displays, see Print a Trend.
- X-Y and X-Y-Z Plots—
You can print X-Y and X-Y-Z plots.
In addition there may be driver specific printing facilities. These are documented in the relevant driver guides.
There are two printing options available for various features within ClearSCADA:
- Print—Use this option to select an available printer to users and print the selected data, see Accessing Print Options.
- Print Preview—Certain features allow you to preview the printed output on the display before printing, see Using Print Preview.
In Microsoft® Windows®, you can only access those printers that are associated with your Windows user accounts. The ClearSCADA server runs as a service, so a system administrator needs to specify a Windows user account in the ClearSCADA server configuration to allow the ClearSCADA server to access the required printers, see Printer Settings.
