Close Line
Associated with: PSTN outstations or outstations with PSTN fallback; Slave PSTN outstations.
UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR OF APPLICATION
Use the Close Line pick action with care. Always check an outstation’s current activity, before deciding whether to use this pick action.
To check whether an outstation is currently processing a request, look at its entry in the Outstations List’s Current Request column. You can also check an outstation’s current activity via, for example, the Events List or the outstation’s Status display.
The Close Line pick action is available on an outstation providing that:
- ClearSCADA is in communication with that outstation via PSTN
- Your User Account is allocated the Retrieve Data security permission for that outstation.
Use the Close Line pick action to end the current telephone call between ClearSCADA and the outstation. You can use this pick action to end calls that have been instigated by either the outstation or ClearSCADA.
When the Close Line pick action is executed, ClearSCADA completes any outstanding read response, then ends the call. Any actions that are otherwise in progress, or are outstanding, are canceled.
