Serial Port Statistics
Associated with: Channels on advanced drivers, providing that those channels have a Serial connection
This status attribute is only displayed if ClearSCADA has detected an error on the port. The attribute displays the number of:
- Parity errors—Data bits that became corrupt during transmission
- Framing errors—Data for which the Start or Stop Bits have become lost or corrupt during transmission
- Overruns—Data that was sent faster than it could be received, potentially resulting in loss of data. (If this occurs on a regular basis, check that the correct type of Flow Control is specified on the Channel Form.)
- Unintended Breaks in transmission.
If the Reset Serial Port Statistics pick action has been used to reset the statistics, up to two entries are displayed—the lower entry lists the previous Serial Port Statistics, the upper entry is ‘live’ and logs the Serial Port Statistics since the pick action was last used. The upper entry is only displayed if further errors have been detected on the port.
