Display a Logic Program in Design Mode
To edit a Logic program, you need to display it in Design mode. You will then have access to the configuration features that allow you to change the Logic program.
To display a Logic program in Design mode:
- Log on to ViewX with a User account that has the Configure Documents and Configure Database features enabled (on the User Form) and has the Configure permission for the Logic program (or its parent Group).
- Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar).
- Locate the Logic program's entry in the Database Bar.
- Either:
- Right-click on the program entry and select Edit <program type> from the menu that appears (where <program type> is the type of Logic program you have chosen to edit).
Or:
- If your User account has the Double Click Edits Documents feature enabled, double-click on the program.
The Logic program will display in Design mode.
Alternatively, you can display a Logic program in Design mode by performing one of the following:
- Display a Logic Program in Run Mode.
- Either:
- Select the Design Mode button on the Quick Access Toolbar.
Or:
- Select the Design Mode command on the ViewX ribbon's Edit tab.
The Logic program will display in Run mode.
Or:
- Right-click on the Logic program in a Queries List.
- Select the Edit option.
The Logic program will display in Design mode.
