Display a Logic Program in Design Mode

To edit a Logic program, you need to display it in Design mode. You will then have access to the configuration features that allow you to change the Logic program.

To display a Logic program in Design mode:

  1. Log on to ViewX with a User account that has the Configure Documents and Configure Database features enabled (on the User Form) and has the Configure permission for the Logic program (or its parent Group).
  2. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar).
  3. Locate the Logic program's entry in the Database Bar.
  4. Either:
    • Right-click on the program entry and select Edit <program type> from the menu that appears (where <program type> is the type of Logic program you have chosen to edit).

    Or:

    • If your User account has the Double Click Edits Documents feature enabled, double-click on the program.

    The Logic program will display in Design mode.

Alternatively, you can display a Logic program in Design mode by performing one of the following:

  1. Display a Logic Program in Run Mode.
  2. Either:

    Or:

    • Select the Design Mode command on the ViewX ribbon's Edit tab.

    The Logic program will display in Run mode.

Or:

  1. Right-click on the Logic program in a Queries List.
  2. Select the Edit option.

    The Logic program will display in Design mode.
