Configuring Time Points

NTP Monitor Scanners support time points.

You need to configure one time point in the ClearSCADA database for each point that monitors time data on an NTP device.

You might, for instance, use a time point to display the NTP device’s present time (by monitoring that device’s System.clock tag).

Configure a time point’s properties using the fields on the NTP Monitor Time Point Form.

The Form has several tabs.

The fields on the Time Point tab are common to time points on several drivers (see Defining Time Point Details in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration).

Use the fields on the NTP Monitor tab to Configure the NTP Monitor Point Properties.

For information on the fields on other tabs, see Tabs on Point Forms in the ClearSCADA Guide to Simple Drivers.
