The example that is explained in these topics is available as a ClearSCADA database export (sde) file.
Once you have installed the ClearSCADA ROC Plus Driver, you can optionally use the ROC PlusDemo.sde file to import the sample configuration into your database. You can then study the sample configuration to see how the ROC Plus driver can be used to interface a ROC with ClearSCADA. The default location for the ROC PlusDemo.sde file is Program Files\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA.
The demonstration file shows how to use the ClearSCADA ROC Plus driver to:
- Gather historic data
- Gather current data
- Retrieve events and alarms
- Change the gas composition
- Change the orifice plate diameter
- and so on.
After you successfully import the ROC PlusDemo.sde file, you should see a database tree similar to the one shown below. The topics that follow this one discuss various aspects of this sample database. For more information, see the topics that are listed in the gray footer section at the bottom of this topic.
