Remote Access
For Windows machines, access may be required remotely using the built in Remote Desktop tool. This is disabled by default. To enable the feature, you will need to open the System Properties window and enable Remote Desktop.
If the remote desktop clients are Windows 7 and onwards, then ensure the “Allow connection only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication (recommended)” option is also enabled as this provides an additional level of security with Remote Desktop sessions.
Unless there is a specific business requirement, we recommend that you disable the Remote Assistance option if it was previously enabled to further reduce the attack surface of the machine.
