System Analysis
To help you assess your system, ClearSCADA includes a Server Status Tool which features a diverse range of statistical and diagnostic information. Using this information, you can check the status of your system and investigate unexpected conditions.
For many types of unexpected system behavior, you will need to contact Schneider Electric for assistance. However, you may be able to resolve some issues yourself, by altering the configuration of your system or by stopping external factors from affecting ClearSCADA.
If you contact Schneider Electric for assistance, our engineers may ask you to provide a log file, which is a file that provides a record of system activity. To provide a log file, you will need to use the Server Status Tool to enable logging for the relevant part of your system, for example, you may need to enable logging for a specific driver.
In the following sections, we explain how to access the Server Status Tool and use it to analyze your system, activate logging, and investigate (and in some cases, resolve) issues on your system:
- Working with the Server Status Tool
- Log Files and Logging Settings. These settings are also described in detail in the Server Administration Guide (see Logging and Monitoring in the ClearSCADA Guide to Server Administration).
- Common System Problems.
