Database Web Server Connection Problems
You can use the Information category to determine the status of the Database Web Server connection (see General System Status Information). The status for the connection between ClearSCADA and the Original WebX displays the following two messages by default:
- Web Server: Running on Port <number>—The Database Web Server is setup correctly. Any web connection difficulties are likely to be related to your Internet connection or network settings.
- Secure Server: Running on Port <number>—The secure server is setup correctly. Any web connection difficulties are likely to be related to your Internet connection or network settings. However, you should also check that you have the correct Certificate and Private Key (see Original WebX Security Settings).
The port Web Server port settings are also used by WebX to display Mimics and Lists, see Define the Port Settings for WebX Clients
The following messages appear when a problem occurs relating to the Database Web Server:
- Port <number> already in use—The port is already in use by another internet application. You need to define a different port address for the web server or secure server (see Original WebX Security Settings).
- Web Server Disabled—Access via the non-secure port is not possible due to the web server being disabled (see Original WebX Security Settings).
- Secure Web Server Disabled—Access via the secure port is not possible due to the secure web server port being disabled (see Original WebX Security Settings).
- Failed to Create Socket—There is an error with the operating system network, please contact Schneider Electric for advice.
- Failed to Listen on Port <number>—There is an error with the operating system network, please contact Schneider Electric for advice.
