Configure the Scaling Multiplier Value
Use the Multiplier fields below the general configuration fields on the Counter Point tab to define the scaling factor that is applied to the counter’s value.
Counters are scaled by the outstation (this multiplier is not often required), but it can be used for unit conversion (for example, where you require different units internally in the outstation to ClearSCADA).
Use a multiplier other than 1 if the value that is to be used in the ClearSCADA database is to differ from the actual count value. The counter values that are reported by the outstation are multiplied by the Multiplier value for use in ClearSCADA.
Example:
A point generates one count for every 1 liter of water pumped through a pipe.
A multiplier of 0.22 can be used to show how many gallons have been pumped.
