64-Bit
ClearSCADA can be installed on computers using the following operating systems:
Server Hardware
- Windows Server 2016 (Standard and Datacenter editions, 'Server with Desktop Experience' installation option)
- Windows Server 2012 Release 2 (Standard and Datacenter editions, 'Server with a GUI' installation option)
- Windows Server 2012 (Standard and Datacenter editions, 'Server with a GUI' installation option)
- Windows Server 2008 Release 2 (Standard and Enterprise editions, 'Full' installation option) - Service Pack 1
Desktop Hardware
Desktop class hardware is only suitable for small stand-alone client-server systems that are not intended to provide access to the database from either WebX or ClearSCADA Mobile.
- Windows 10 (Professional and Enterprise editions, versions that are supported by Microsoft)
(ClearSCADA is tested against the latest version of Windows 10 at the point of its release) - Windows 8.1 (Professional and Enterprise editions)
- Windows 7 (Professional and Ultimate editions) - Service Pack 1.
ATTENTION: Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 should not be used for servers with more than two clients. This is because the TCP/IP security measures in these operating systems can cause significant delays.
If you intend to provide access to the database from ClearSCADA Mobile, use server class computers with 64-bit operating systems.
Likewise, to run WebX, the WebX server and ClearSCADA server computers have to run on server class hardware with 64-bit operating systems. (WebX client computers can use 32- or 64-bit operating systems. The WebX client computers also require the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer 11 (see Web Browser Support). Other browsers are not supported.)
(Client computers also require the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer 11 to run only the Original WebX client.)
