Add a Dynacard Store

To add a Dynacard Store to the ClearSCADA database:

1. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar).
2. In the Database Bar, right-click on the System or Group for which you want to add a Dynacard Store.
   A context-sensitive menu is displayed.
3. Select the Create New option.
   A further menu is displayed.
4. Select the Other option.
   A further menu is displayed.
5. Select the Dynacard Store option.
   A Dynacard Store is added to the root of the System or to the selected Group (depending on your selection in step 2). It is selected automatically, ready for you to enter its name.
6. Enter a suitable name for the Dynacard Store (taking into account the ClearSCADA Naming Restrictions).
7. Press the Enter key or select another part of the ViewX interface to confirm the entry.

When you have added a Dynacard Store to the ClearSCADA database, you can then:

• Configure the Dynacard Storage Properties
• Specify the Device for Which a Dynacard Store is to Store Data
• Associate Dynagraph items with the Dynacard Store (see Dynagraphs). Dynagraph items are used to view plots of the uploaded dynacard data.

Once ClearSCADA has uploaded dynacard data to the Dynacard Store, you can also Specify the Dynacard Data that is to be used as ‘Reference’ Data.
