Zoom In and Out

You can use the Zoom In and Zoom Out options to increase or decrease a Dynagraph’s magnification level (see Size a Dynagraph According its Range of Data Values). When you increase the level by zooming in, you can view the differences in data values more closely. When you decrease the level by zooming out, the values are depicted closer together, with potentially a wider range of values being shown.

You can zoom in or out on an x-axis, a y-axis, or the main display area (equivalent to zooming in or out on both axes together).

To zoom in or out:

  1. Display the Dynagraph in Run or Design mode, as required (see Displaying an Editor).
  2. Right-click on an axis or the main display area of the Dynagraph (the area that will contain the traces).
A context sensitive menu is displayed.
  3. Select one of these options:
    • Zoom In (to increase the magnification level)
    • Zoom Out (to decrease the magnification level).

ClearSCADA alters the Dynagraph’s magnification level accordingly.

Zoom In and Zoom Out options are common to various graphical displays, including X-Y Plots. For information about other ways of zooming in and out of a display, see Zoom In on an X-Y Plot and see Zoom Out on an X-Y Plot in the ClearSCADA Guides to X-Y Plots.
