Configuring Analog Points

The IEC 60870-5 driver supports Analog Input points and Analog Output points.

Use IEC 60870-5 Analog Input points to map analog or counter data for use within ClearSCADA. Use IEC 60870-5 Analog Output points to control analog values in an outstation.

If an outstation supports counter data, map that data to IEC 60870-5 Analog Point(s) in the ClearSCADA database, in order to use that data within ClearSCADA, (see Configure the Counter Interrogation Intervals).

Configure the properties of each analog point using the fields on the IEC 60870-5 Analog Input Point Form, or the IEC 60870-5 Analog Output Point Form, as appropriate. Each Form has several tabs.

For both IEC 60870-5 Analog Input Points and IEC 60870-5 Analog Output Points, use the Analog Point tab to:

For IEC 60870-5 Analog Input Points also use the Analog Point tab to:

For IEC 60870-5 Analog Output Points there are two additional tabs: a Control Tab and a Control Checks tab.

Use the Control tab to:

You can optionally use the Control Checks tab to configure the Control Checks settings (see Configuring Control Checks Settings in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration).

For information on the properties on other tabs, see Tabs on Point Forms in the ClearSCADA Guide to Advanced Drivers.
