To configure the database items required for ClearSCADA to communicate with a SCADAPack Modbus controller, you need to log on to ViewX via a user account with Configure permissions. The preconfigured 'EngExample' user account has sufficient permissions to perform the tasks in this section, so if you are not already logged on as 'EngExample', you need to do so (see Log on to your System).
Once you are logged on as the 'EngExample' user, you can proceed to Create a 'Serial Comms' Group and a 'Site' Group.
