This feature applies to many outstations that are directly connected to Geo SCADA Expert server—see the driver-specific documentation to see whether this feature applies to the outstations on your system.
On outstations on which the feature is supported, you can specify whether the outstation is to be given scanning preference whenever any of its points are displayed on a client.
Select the Promote when Displaying Points check box if you want the Geo SCADA Expert server to give scanning preference to the outstation whenever any of its points are displayed on a client.
Clear the check box if the server is not to give scanning preference to the outstation when its points are displayed on a client.

ATTENTION: If this feature is enabled for many outstations, and points for many of those outstations are displayed at the same time, this could have an adverse affect on the system, and may result in the intended promotion not being achieved.
