Forecasts are a specialized area, if your system is not used for importing future (forecast) data, you can ignore this section of the guide.
Forecasts are predictions of future records of the values, at various times, of a measurable quantity, such as a river level. The time period that Forecasts cover may range, for example, from one day in the past to two days into the future, or from several months in the past to several months into the future.
The Advanced EWS Forecast Item allows you to import data from the EWS server by associating it with an Advanced EWS point item and an Advanced EWS Group. This defines the scanning interval.
