Each alarm has an:
- Alarm Severity level that indicates the importance of the alarm.
- Alarm Status that indicates whether the alarm has been acknowledged and whether the alarm conditions are still in effect.
- Alarm Category that indicates the type of alarm.
You need to understand the different values of each of the alarm properties listed above, especially the severity and status, as these provide important information that you can use to determine what you need to do about the alarm (see Perform an Action on an Alarm).
