Add a Historic Calculation

To add a Historic Calculation to the Geo SCADA Expert database:

1. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar).
2. In the Database Bar, right-click on the System or Group for which you want to add a new Historic Calculation.
   A context sensitive menu is displayed.
3. Select the Create New option.
   A further menu is displayed.
4. Select the Other option.
   A further menu is displayed.
5. Select the Historic Calculation option.
   A Historic Calculation is added to the root of the System or to the selected Group (depending on your selection in step 2). It is selected automatically, ready for you to enter its name.
6. Enter a suitable name for the item (taking into account the Geo SCADA Expert Naming Restrictions).
7. Press the Enter key or select another part of the ViewX interface to confirm the entry.

Once you have added a Historic Calculation, you need to configure its properties (see Configure a Historic Calculation).
