The type of information that you need to define for an entry on a Value Map and Filtered Value Map differs, depending on the type of value that it is to map. Some of the information is automatically inherited from each variable, point, or other value when you associate it with the Value Map, other information needs to be added manually to the map. The settings that have to be specified for a mapped item appear in rows under column headings that differ, depending on the type of Value Map.
