A VT Service Port Slave allows a DNP3 Virtual Terminal to transfer data transparently between a port on the Geo SCADA Expert server DNP3 master, via a DNP3 Slave outstation item configured in the Geo SCADA Expert database.
Where more than one port is used on a Slave outstation, you need to configure one VT Service Port Slave for each port.
Configure the service port settings using the VT Service Port Slave Form. The Form has several tabs.
Use the Connection tab to define the connection-specific settings for the port. The port uses serial communications (see Configure a Channel’s Serial Connection Properties in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Advanced Drivers).
