Minimum Configuration

For a Virtual Terminal to be functional, you need to specify (as a minimum):

• The outstation with which the terminal is to be associated
• The unique number that identifies the port on the outstation
• The Master Service port that the terminal is to use.

For a VT Service Port Slave to be functional, you need to specify (as a minimum):

• The DNP3 Slave outstation on which the port is located
• The unique number that identifies the port that is to be used on that outstation (this number has to correspond to the number of a Virtual Terminal).

In either case, you need to put the item In Service and save the configuration.
