Use the Allow Automatic Download check box located at the top of the SCADAPack tab to specify whether Geo SCADA Expert is to automatically download the outstation’s configuration, in response to the Configuration Corrupt IIN bit being set in DNP3 response messages sent from the outstation.
Select the check box for Geo SCADA Expert to automatically download the configuration stored in the Geo SCADA Expert database when the DNP3 SCADAPack E outstation sets its DNP3 Configuration Corrupt IIN bit.
Ensure that the check box is cleared, for Geo SCADA Expert to ignore the DNP3 Configuration Corrupt IIN bit.
In addition to the configuration defined by the outstation and its associated points, Geo SCADA Expert will also download any additional files that are configured for Automatic Download in the Configuration Setup Windows (see Specify the Properties of a File in a SCADAPack E Outstation’s Configuration).
Regardless of the setting of the Allow Automatic Download check box, the configuration can be downloaded manually, using the Download Configuration pick action (see Download Configuration).
Automatic configuration downloads are initiated by the SCADAPack E outstation, rather than Geo SCADA Expert. If you modify the properties on the outstation, or any other database item or file associated with the outstation, you will need to manually initiate the configuration download (see Download Configuration).
