Use the Close Connection pick action with care. Always check an outstation’s current activity before deciding whether to use this action.

To check whether an outstation is currently processing a request, look at its entry in the Outstation List’s Current Request column. You can also check an outstation’s current activity via, for example, the Events List or the outstation’s Status display.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage.

This pick action is only available while the direct connection to an On Demand outstation is open (that is, while Geo SCADA Expert is in the process of retrieving data from, or sending controls to, the outstation).

If necessary, use the Close Connection pick action to close the direct connection that is currently open.

When the Close Connection pick action is executed, Geo SCADA Expert completes any outstanding read response, then closes the connection. Any actions that are otherwise in progress, or are outstanding, are canceled.
