The AlarmBanner object that is available for use in Alarm Banner scripts has its own functions and properties. You can use the functions and properties to provide extra functionality and to extract information from the Alarm Banner in ViewX. For example, you can add menu options to the Alarm Banner’s context-sensitive menu and extract alarm information such as the Message and Source. Any information that is extracted from the Alarm Banner in ViewX can then be displayed in Forms or message boxes or can be sent to other applications such as work management programs.
