The Disable Points permission defines whether the user or User Group can enable and disable a point via the Enable Point and Disable Point actions. When a point is enabled, it is 'live' and is updated with new values as appropriate to its configuration; when a point is disabled, it is not updated. It is often useful to be able to disable points under certain circumstances, for example, during maintenance.
Although this permission is available for every database item, it is only relevant to database points and pulse actions.
