Resample Interval for Historic Views

The Resample Interval defines how often Geo SCADA Expert calculates the historic values for the historic view. The historic values are the values that are available to third-party applications and SQL Queries.

The time at which the values are calculated is dependent on the Calculation Base Time for Historic Views—the value is calculated at the start of each hour, day, week, and so on, in the historic result set.

The resample interval has to be a fixed time interval. This means you can enter a specific number of seconds, minutes, hours, or days. You cannot enter a month or a year as both of these are variable time intervals (a month can be between 28 and 31 days and a year can be 365 or 366 days).

Example:

The historic result set covers the historic values of a point between 00:00 Monday and 00:00 Tuesday.

The Resample is 1H (hourly).

Geo SCADA Expert calculates the value that is read by the third-party application every hour (on the hour)— 00:00 Monday, 01:00 Monday, 02:00 Monday, 03:00 Monday, and so on.
