The WebX Server settings apply only to Original WebX.
Virtual ViewX settings are configured in Internet Information Services (IIS). These settings are configured by default when you install the Web and Mobile components of Geo SCADA Expert (see Virtual ViewX Server Setup Wizard). The Geo SCADA Expert server together with the IIS web server allows client PCs to access the Geo SCADA Expert system using a Web browser over a secure network connection.
To setup the Original WebX connections at the server, you need to access the WebX Server settings:
- Display the Server Configuration Tool and log on if required.
- Expand the System Configuration branch of the tree-structure.
- Select WebX to display the WebX section.
You can use the WebX settings to:
- Define the Ports settings for access via Original WebX.
ATTENTION: There are important security implications to consider when setting the Ports. For more information, see Define the Ports Settings for Original WebX Clients.
- Define the Proxy settings for access via Original WebX (see Define the Proxy Settings for the Original WebX Server).
- Define the Security and Certificates settings. Again, there are security implications to be considered when defining these settings, see Setting Up Security for Virtual ViewX and Original WebX Clients.
You can create your own style sheets so that the Geo SCADA Expert web pages suit your requirements, see Define the Location of Style Sheets and Images.
