View a Document in your Operator Document Store

You can access the contents of your Operator Document Store(s) from either a ViewX Client or a Virtual ViewX Client. However, you can only manage the contents of your Operator Store(s) from a ViewX client.

To display a document that is stored in one of your Operator Document Stores:

1. Log on to ViewX or Virtual ViewX.
2. Display your Operator Document Stores (see Access Your Operator Document Stores).
3. Expand your Operator Document Stores until you locate the document that you want to display.
4. Either:
   • Right-click on the document, then select the relevant Display option from the context sensitive menu.

   Or:

   • Double-click on the document.
     

   The document is displayed.

When you have displayed a document in ViewX, you can toggle it between Run mode and Design mode in the same way as an engineer level user (a user with the Configure Database permission for a wide range of database items).

When you display a document such as a Trend in Design mode, you can access the configuration features that are normally restricted for use by engineer level users. For more information on how to configure your document, please refer to the documentation that describes the configuration process for the type of item. For example, if you have displayed a Trend, refer to the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Trends for information on how to configure the Trend.
