Advanced OPC Specific Alarm and Event Categories
Each alarm and event on a Geo SCADA Expert system has a Category that indicates the type of alarm or event. The Category is included by default in the Events List and, if applicable, the Alarms List and the Alarm Banner.
You can optionally filter the entries in either List by category—the entries from which you can choose comprise various ‘core’ categories, along with any categories that are specific to the drivers that are installed on your system.
On systems on which the Advanced OPC driver is installed, in addition to the ‘core’ alarm and event categories, these Advanced OPC specific categories are available:
- Advanced OPC Server State—Entries associated with this category indicate the connection state, Connection State) and the state of a server, (see Server State)
- Advanced OPC Group State—Entries associated with this category indicate the state of a group, (see Group State).
- Advanced OPC Point Server State—Entries associated with this category indicate the state of a point's item. For example to show that a point's item was not successfully added to a group. This can apply to one or more point items within a group. The name of the OPC server that item is associated with is displayed in a multiple server system.
