By default, the Alarm Banner uses columns that are a fixed size that cannot be changed by dragging the column lines. But by using the Option window, you can provide users with the ability to change the Alarm Banner column size as required.
To define whether users can resize the columns on the Alarm Banner:
- Log on via a user account that has the Configure Options permission, and then display the Options window.
- Select the Alarms and Events tab.
- Either:
- Select the Allow Column Resizing check box to allow users to resize the columns on the Alarm Banner. They will be able to resize the columns by dragging the lines that separate the Alarm Banner’s Headers (see Change the Size of Columns on an Alarms List or the Alarm Banner Directly).
Or:
- Clear the check box to stop users from being able to resize the Alarm Banner’s columns directly on this particular ViewX client. (Users will still be able to resize the columns by using the Alarm Columns window (see Use the Alarm Columns Window to Change the Alarms List or Alarm Banner Columns).)
Allow Column Resizing is clear by default.
To apply the Allow Column Resizing setting that you have chosen, select the Option window’s OK button. The settings will be applied to the ViewX client on which you defined the changes.
