This guide is intended for any user that works with alarms or needs to configure alarm settings.

Document Scope

This guide describes Geo SCADA Expert's alarm handling capabilities. It explains the various displays from which you can access alarms and the activities that can be performed on those alarms.

The guide also summarizes the various alarm-related aspects of system configuration and explains:

• What comprises an alarm (see Understand Alarms, and see Understand Alarm Conditions and Subconditions)
• The various ways in which Geo SCADA Expert raises your awareness of alarms on your system, including:
  • Activities that Occur when an Alarm is Raised
  • The Alarm Banner
  • Alarms Lists
  • Understand the Information that is Displayed on an Alarms List or Alarm Banner
  • Alarms on Other Displays.
• Summarizes the types of action that can be performed on alarms (see Perform an Action on an Alarm).
