You can use the Login Timeout setting on the ODBC Setup window to define the default amount of time permitted for a successful connection. If the Third Party ODBC client cannot connect to the Geo SCADA Expert server via the ODBC connection within the Login Timeout, the connection is deemed to have failed.
The Login Timeout is the default amount of time permitted for the connection. However, the Third Party ODBC client can have its own connection timeout settings that take precedence over the Login Timeout on the ODBC Setup window.
To define the Login Timeout, display the ODBC Setup window Configure the ODBC DSN Settings, then enter the appropriate amount of time (in seconds) in the Login Timeout field. The default setting is 15 seconds, which is appropriate for many ODBC clients.
