Add Items to a Group

You can add items to a Group or a Group Template.

To add a database item to a Group or Group Template:

1. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar).
2. In the Database Bar, right-click on the Group or Group Template to which you want to add an item.
   A context sensitive menu is displayed.
3. Select the relevant Create New option. For example, if you want to add a Mimic, select the Create New option, followed by the Mimic option. (Many menu options will provide access to further menus for specific types of item).
   The new item is added to the selected Group or Group Template. It is selected automatically, ready for you to configure.

   

4. Enter a suitable name for the item (taking into account the Geo SCADA Expert Naming Restrictions).
5. Press the Enter key or select another part of the ViewX interface to confirm the name entry.
