Use OPC time formats for entering dates and times in Geo SCADA Expert. The formats are based on the standards that are defined by the OPC Foundation. The formats that you need to use vary, depending on the type of time or date. Within Geo SCADA Expert you can enter and display these types of dates and times:
- Intervals—For example, 15 minutes. To specify an interval, you enter the time in the OPC Time Format.
- Relative Times—For example, yesterday at 06:00. To specify a relative time, you enter the time in the OPC Relative Time Format.
- Absolute Times—For example, 15 June 2006 08:00:00. For absolute times, Geo SCADA Expert uses the syntax that is defined by the user’s Date Format.

- Define How a Time Period is Displayed.
Be aware that the Date Format on a recipient’s User Form defines the date and time format that Geo SCADA Expert uses in any Alarm Redirection e-mail, pager, or SMS messages (see the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Alarm Redirection for further information).
