Restricted Character Set - Logic
We recommend that you only use the following characters in identifiers in Logic programs:
a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, q, r, s, t, u, v, w, x, y, z
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
_
Logic program identifiers cannot:
- Begin with a number
- Contain double underscores (an underscore character followed immediately by another underscore character).
Technically, it is possible to use other characters and numbers in the Unicode standard. But we recommend that you only use the restricted character set shown above.
If a database item's name includes parentheses ( ), you should ensure that each opening parenthesis is paired with a closing parenthesis.
