Minimum Configuration for Pager Services

For a successful Pager Service, the minimum configuration requirement is:

• The Pager Service has to be placed In Service (active)
• The Telephone Number of the Service Provider's access point has to be defined (TAP and UCP Pager Services only).

There are defaults for every other Pager Service configuration, so the Pager Service can be associated with a Pager Channel of the appropriate type (see Configuring a Pager Channel).

For Geo SCADA Expert to be able to send a message to a pager device or mobile telephone, there has to be:

• a valid Pager Service
• a valid Pager Channel associated with the Pager Service
• Correctly configured Pager Contact details for the User account of the user that receives the message.
