You can run Geo SCADA Expert on remote desktop setups such as Citrix XenApp and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services. (Microsoft Remote Desktop Services was formerly known as Microsoft Terminal Services.) These products allow Citrix and Remote Desktop Services clients to provide the features of a ViewX client without having ViewX installed locally.

- Inform you about the number of servers and clients you will need for your system
- Configure the connections between Geo SCADA Expert and Citrix or Remote Desktop Services.
There are no settings in Geo SCADA Expert that need to be changed specifically for use with Citrix or Remote Desktop Services. The only Geo SCADA Expert specific requirement is that a ViewX, Virtual ViewX or Original WebX client is installed/set up on the Citrix/Remote Desktop Services server(s). These clients need to be connected to the Geo SCADA Expert server in the same way as a ‘normal’ ViewX, Virtual ViewX or Original WebX client.
