Restart the Geo SCADA Expert Server

Some server configuration alterations only come into effect if the Geo SCADA Expert server is restarted.

To restart the Geo SCADA Expert server:

1. In Windows, select the Start menu. Scroll down the alphabetical list of installed applications and expand the EcoStruxure Geo SCADA folder. Select the Service Manager option.
   The Service Manager window  is displayed.
2. Select the Stop button next to the Geo SCADA Expert Database Server entry on the Service Manager window.

   

3. When the Geo SCADA Expert server has stopped (indicated in the panel at the bottom of the Service Manager window), select the Start button next to the Geo SCADA Expert Database Server entry on the Service Manager window.

   

Alternatively, you can:

1. Access the Services applet (Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services).
2. Right-click the Geo SCADA Expert Server service.
   A context sensitive menu is displayed.
3. Select the Restart option.
   The Geo SCADA Expert server shuts down and restarts.

   If Group Instance propagation is in progress, the server will shut down after the pending transactions have been completed.
