This section explains how to use the Service Manager. When you install Geo SCADA Expert on a server, you need to setup the Geo SCADA Expert server to run as a service so that you can start and stop the server when required. You may need to start, stop, and restart the Geo SCADA Expert server when you make changes to certain parts of the server configuration.
WARNINGCOMPLETE LOSS OF CONFIGURATION
When setting up a main-standby system, make sure that you restart the servers in the correct order if objects are already configured in your database. Make sure that the server with objects already configured is started first and is running as main, then start the partner servers and allow them to synchronize with the main server.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage. Failure to start the servers in the correct order can result in the complete loss of configuration from the system, requiring recovery from a backup.
