Object Menu
The Geo SCADA Expert Object menu is a context sensitive menu that allows you to view the status of, and perform actions on a database item, such as a point or outstation. The options that are available from the menu vary depending, for example, on:
- The type of item from which the menu is displayed
- The item’s configuration
- The item’s current status
- Your security permissions.
When you display the Geo SCADA Expert Object menu for an individual item, the options on the menu apply to only that particular item.
When you display the Geo SCADA Expert Object menu for a Group or Group Instance, the options on the menu apply to the group, any subgroups within that group, and the items in that group and subgroups.

(The Touch Screen keyboard and numeric keypad only apply to ViewX workstations that are configured to enable On-Screen Keyboard functionality. With such workstations, the appropriate on-screen keyboard or keypad is displayed automatically when you select a text entry field on the windows that are associated with certain Object menu options. The keyboard and keypad provide an alternative means of specifying a value, instead of using a traditional keyboard.)
