Configure the General Link Layer Settings
Use the fields within the General Link Layer Settings section of the DNP3 Settings tab to specify the General Link Layer properties for DNP3 communications.
Maximum Frame Size
The SCADAPack x70 device sends and receives data in variable-size packets known as frames. Use this field to specify the maximum size of a single frame sent by the outstation. You can enter a value between 14 and 292 (inclusive). The default setting is 292.
In environments with high levels of interference, for example radios, reducing the maximum frame size may alleviate communications problems.
