Failed ViewX Client - Third Party OPC Server Connections
If the ViewX client - Third Party OPC connection cannot be established, you will be unable to access the OPC server’s data in ViewX. In this situation, we recommend that you check:
- The OPC server installation. If the Third Party OPC server has not been installed correctly, ViewX will be unable to connect to it (and the Class Identifier may be unavailable during the configuration of the connection).
- The network. If you are using a ViewX client to connect to a remote OPC server, a network problem could cause connection issues. You will need to investigate your network infrastructure and repair any faults.
- Firewalls. Firewalls can interfere with ViewX to OPC Server connections, particularly when remote OPC servers are used. You will need to use the documentation for your particular operating system to investigate any potential firewall issues.
