Define When the Value of a Boolean Counter is to Increment
Use the check boxes on the State tab of the Boolean Counter Accumulator Form to specify which state changes are to increment the Accumulator value:
Select the False to True check box for the Accumulator value to increment when the state of its source point changes from False to True.
Select the True to False check box for the Accumulator value to increment when the state of its source point changes from True to False.
Select either, or both, check boxes, depending on requirements.
Example:
A Boolean Counter Accumulator monitors the value of a Digital point. The Accumulator is configured as ‘False to True’. As such, the value of the Accumulator increments each time that the Digital point travels from state 0 to state 1 (False to True). The Accumulator value increments by one on each occasion.
In the Trend above, the Boolean Counter Accumulator trace is attached to the left y-axis and the Digital point trace to the right y-axis. The Trend shows that when the Digital point changes state from 0 to 1 on eight occasions during the accumulation period, the Accumulator value reads 8.
