Define the Time Period for which Geo SCADA Expert Imports Forecast Values
Use the fields within the Value Time Window section of the Forecast tab to specify the period for which Geo SCADA Expert is to import Forecast values:
- Start Offset—Select this check box if the settings within this window are to determine the start of the period for which Geo SCADA Expert is to import Forecast values.
Use the adjacent field to specify the time period following which Geo SCADA Expert is to import Forecast values. Enter the time period in the OPC Time Format. You can enter the value directly in the field, or use the Interval Window (accessed via the field’s browse button) to specify the required value. Geo SCADA Expert only import a Forecast value if that value is time stamped with a time that occurs on or after the Forecast start plus the time specified in this field.
Example:
A Forecast is imported, which has data that starts two days before the present day, comprising values that occur at 15-minute intervals.
The Value Time Window section of the Forecast Form has these settings:
The Start Offset check box is enabled
The corresponding field is set to 30M (30 minutes). This results in Geo SCADA Expert only importing Forecast Values that occur on or after 30 minutes from the start of the Forecast. Values that occur earlier than 30 minutes from the start of the Forecast are ignored and not imported into Geo SCADA Expert. (In this particular example, the first two Forecast values are ignored—the value at the very start of the Forecast, and the value that occurs 15 minutes into the Forecast.)
Ensure that the Start Offset check box is clear if Geo SCADA Expert is to import values from the start of the Forecast.
- Duration—Select this check box if the settings within this window are to limit the duration for which Geo SCADA Expert imports Forecast values.
Use the adjacent field to specify the duration during which Geo SCADA Expert is to import Forecast values. Enter the duration in the OPC Time Format. You can enter the value directly in the field, or use the Interval Window (accessed via the field’s browse button) to specify the required value. Geo SCADA Expert only imports a Forecast value if that value is time stamped with a time that occurs during the period following the Forecast start plus the time specified in the Start Offset field (above), and on or before the time period specified in this Duration field.
Example:
A Forecast is imported, which has data that starts two days before the present day and finishes one day in the future, comprising values that occur at 15-minute intervals.
The Value Time Window section of the Forecast Form has these settings:
The Start Offset check box is enabled
The corresponding field is set to 30M (30 minutes)
The Duration check box is enabled
The corresponding field is set to 2D 22H.Geo SCADA Expert ignores any values that occur prior to 30 minutes from the start of the Forecast (as these exceed the Start Offset settings above). Such values are not imported into Geo SCADA Expert.
Geo SCADA Expert also ignores any values that occur within the last 1.5 hours of the Forecast (as these occur outside of the Duration period, specified above).
Geo SCADA Expert only imports Forecast values that occur on or after 30 minutes into the Forecast start time and 1.5 hours before the end of the Forecast. (In this particular example, Geo SCADA Expert does not import the first two Forecast values, or the last six Forecast values, as these occur outside the Value Time import period.)
Ensure that the Duration check box is clear if Geo SCADA Expert is to import values up to the end of the Forecast.
