When your system requires multiple, similar configurations, Geo SCADA Expert includes a Group Template feature that you can use to significantly reduce the amount of time and effort it takes to configure and maintain your system.
The Group Template allows you to create a ‘model’ Group configuration. The items in a Group Template are not ‘live’, they are used as a reference for items in Group Instances.
A Group Instance is a ‘live’ version of a Group Template—each Group Instance takes most of its configuration details from the corresponding items in the Group Template that it references. You can create multiple Group Instances from one Group Template.
