Balance
Associated with: Shared outstation sets
The outstations in a Shared set do not have to use the same channel as each other (see Shared Outstations in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Advanced Drivers).
The Balance status attribute indicates the percentage of outstations that are communicating via each channel in a set. (Channels are defined as Line A or Line B on the Outstation Set Form (see Defining Channel Settings for a Shared Set in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Advanced Drivers).
Example:
A particular Shared Outstation Set contains 12 outstations. The set’s Balance attribute displays the following:
Line A: 50% Line B: 25% No multidrop comms: 25%
(Indicating that 6 of the set’s outstations are communicating via the channel that is defined as Line A; 3 outstations are communicating via Line B; and the remaining 3 outstations are not active on either channel (presumably because they are not In Service, or have configuration that Geo SCADA Expert deems is invalid).)
