The Mimics group in the FloBossDemo.sde contains an EventsAndAlarms Mimic.
The Mimic displays embedded Lists that use SQL to filter the Event Data Table and Alarm Data Table by the MeterName tag on the ScannerDaily object. This allows the embedded Lists to show just events and alarms for one meter – useful if the Event and Alarm Data Tables contain information for multiple flow computers.
There are also buttons on the Mimic that enable you to:
- Delete events and alarms from the Event and Alarm Data Tables
- Regenerate the Event and Alarm Data Tables
To prevent the Event and Alarm Data Table from having duplicate entries, click the Delete Events or Delete Alarms button first, before clicking the Regenerate button.
The Regenerate option retrieves the entire event log or alarm log from the flow computer.
- Demand poll for new events and new alarms.
To do this, click the Get Events or Get Alarms buttons. The poll only retrieves new events or alarms.
