Data Set

Data sets form a group or a set of data. You can use a data set to read or to write several data objects/data attributes at once using a single request/response message exchange. The data attributes or data objects that are part of a data set are called the members of a data set. Only functionally constrained data can be a member of a data set.

A data set is a collection of object references to functionally constrained data objects or functionally constrained data attributes. These references are the members of the data set and define the data that can be polled or transmitted in a report. A data set can also contain references to data objects or data attributes from other logical nodes in the IED.
