Editing a Group of Mimic Objects

When you group a selection of objects on a Mimic, their individual configuration settings are grouped on to a single Properties window. You display the Properties window for a group of objects in the same way that you do for a single object:

  1. Display the required Mimic in Design Mode (see Displaying a Mimic).
  2. On the Mimic, locate the group of objects for which you want to edit the settings.
  3. Perform one of the following:
    • Double-click on the group of objects.

    or:

    1. Right-click on the group of objects.
      A context-sensitive menu is displayed.
    2. Select the Properties option.

    or:

    1. Click on the group of objects.
    2. Select the Graphics tab on the ViewX ribbon.
    3. Select the Properties command.

The Group Properties window for the selected group of objects is displayed.

  4. Use the Properties window to edit the objects' settings as required(see Editing Objects on a Mimic)

The tabs on the Group Properties window vary according to the types of objects in the group. For information on each of the tabs, please refer to the section that describes the relevant type of Mimic object (see Editing Objects on a Mimic). For example, if you have a group that contains a pie chart, the Group Properties window will have a Pie Chart Font tab—for information on the settings on the Pie Chart Font tab, refer to the Font tab in the Editing a Pie Chart section.

You can also select a collection of objects on a Mimic and display a Properties window for the selected objects.Like the Group Properties window, the Multiple Selection Properties window contains tabs that vary according to the types of objects that are in the selected collection of objects. Use the properties on the tabs to edit the object's settings as required. (To select a collection of objects on a Mimic, proceed as you would if you were creating a group of Mimic objects (but without selecting the Make Group option)—for more information, see Making a Group of Mimic Objects.)
